Simeon Niel-Asher, BSc(hons)Ost BPhil

Simeon Niel-Asher qualified from the British School of Osteopathy in 1992 and gained a BPhil in Complementary Health Studies from the University of Exeter in 1995. He opened Back into Shape in Highgate in 1994 and moved the Clinic to its current premises in 1999.

He is renowned for his work on Frozen Shoulder Syndrome and has revolutionised treatment of the condition, which can now be resolved in weeks rather than years.

Matthew Wallden, Msc Bsc(Hons)OstMed DO ND CHEK-III NLC

 

Matthew Wallden is one of just 4 C.H.E.K. Level IV practitioners in the UK.

He has consulted for Chelsea and Charlton Athletic football clubs, and Surrey County Cricket Club. Matthew originally trained as an osteopath and naturopath, going on to complete a post-graduate Master’s degree in Osteopathic Medicine in 2000. Since then, he has trained to become a corrective exercise specialist, lecturing on this topic at 4 major UK osteopathic colleges.

Matthew also lectures internationally, sits on the editorial board of the Journal of Bodywork and Movement Therapies, runs various professional forums and has written a number of peer-reviewed articles and publications.

Stuart Korth, DO DPO FICO

Stuart Korth is Director of Osteopathy at The Osteopathic Centre for Children. He qualified at the BSO in 1964. He practises from his clinic in Tonbridge Wells, Kent, and is Director of Osteopathy of the Osteopathic Centre for Children in London.

Andrew Jackson, MCSP CHEK IV MA Sp Sci

Andrew began his career with a degree in Exercise Science from Nottingham. This was followed by an MSc in Exercise Science and extensive study with the CHEK Institute in San Diego. Andrew Jackson is a Level 4 CHEK Certified Practitioner and is one of only 4 such medically trained practitioners in the world. In addition to being certified by the CHEK Institute, Andrew also holds a second Masters Degree in Physiotherapy from the University of Edinburgh. He uses this alongside 15 years of experience in the rehabilitation field to assess, treat and manage his patients. He has also certified as Level II Holistic Lifestyle Coach, and a Level III Sports massage therapist and a metabolic typing advisor.

He has travelled the world to study with the best professionals in a variety of different specialities. Whilst following this extensive study in the fields of health, rehabilitation and performance he has been able to develop an integrated manual therapy that has many facets. He has also specialized in the treatment of many chronic musculoskeletal conditions including lumbar and cervical pain, shoulder, knee and pelvic pain.

Andrew has worked with Scotland International Cricket Team, Surrey County Cricket Club, Charlton Athletic Football Club and is the author of ‘The Cricket Fit System’.

Leon Chaitow, DO ND

Has authored approximately 65 books; He is editor of peer reviewed Journal of Bodywork & Movement Therapies (JBMT), and is a senior lecturer and module leader on post- and undergraduate courses at the University of Westminster, London. He lectures internationally on both bodywork and general health topics from an integrated naturopathic & osteopathic perspective.

He practices privately in the UK as part of the Integrative Healthcare team and in Corfu, Greece, as well as in an NHS setting at Marylebone Health Centre, London, where in 1993, he became the first naturopath/osteopath to be appointed as consultant to a Government-funded conventional medical practice

Heidi Grant, NUCCA Chiropractor

Dr Grant is an active member of the American-based National Upper Cervical Chiropractic Association (NUCCA) and is the only member of the organisation who practices the technique outside North America. She pioneered the technique here in the UK and treats people from all over the country who regularly travel to her for NUCCA care. Dr Grant holds an MSc in Industrial Toxicology from McGill University, Montreal, Canada and a DC from Life Chiropractic College West, California. She is Part II certified in the NUCCA technique, a designation held by only a handful of NUCCA doctors.

Jon Bowskill, CHEK IV BSc (Hons) Sp Sci

Jon Bowskill holds an Honours degree in Sport and Exercise from Leeds Metropolitan University. Whilst at University he became double certified by the American College of Sports Medicine. During this time he also certified with the American Council on Exercise and qualified as a Sports therapist and remedial masseur. Having worked at the prestigious Harbour Club in his early career Jon was appointed Fitness Editor of Men�s Health Magazine in 1998, acting as a consultant as well as controlling technical editorial content. He held this post for a period of 3 years during which the magazine was awarded Magazine of the Year (2001).

Jon is currently a Level IV CHEK Practitioner, CHEK Certified Golf Biomechanic, CHEK Level II Nutrition and Lifestyle Coach and Member of the teaching Faculty of the CHEK Institute. He has previously spent 5 years working at the London Spine Clinic as part of a multidisciplinary neurosurgical unit, pioneering the use of exercise in the medical management of spinal pain.

During this time he has specialised in many chronic spinal disorders as well as working with professional athletes from sports including Golf, Rugby Union, Tennis, Real Tennis, Racquets and Formula One.

He now mentors his own Team, providing exceptional Rehabilitation and Performance strategies to his clients in London and around the world.
